Text read: "Thanks to Lynne Mitchell in our Corel Painter forum for pointing out that her website Rabbit Hole Productions has had a major overhaul for 2008. -2007-

Lynne began experimenting with a new medium - Painter X and the digital oil paint brushes. Starting with photos of family, pets and friends she turned into digital paintings which she then printed on canvas and hand-painted with gel medium.

"The best way to learn is by doing." Lynne's motto holds true. She started putting Painter-created pieces online and entering Painter competitions soon after. When the Corel company started a new magazine and website devoted to Painter, Lynne entered her first competition to win a subscription to the magazine and won! She also had a very nice article printed in the Corel Painter magazine, Issue Two, in the Featured Gallery section which featured several of her art pieces. At the time, she was using Painter IX. When the next competition came out to win version X she jumped at the chance. The rules were to create an artwork that featured a paint can. Everything else was up to the imagination of the artist. Lynne was selected as one of 30 winners to win a copy of the Limited Edition Corel Painter Software X. Her entry was also printed in Issue 6 of the magazine.

-Aug 2007 - Lynne has two pieces accepted into the Pensacola Museum of Art Juried Members Show. She wins first place with, Camillas and Old Box.

Halloween 2007

Anyone who knows Lynne & Shawn, know that Halloween is a huge yearly event for them. Halloween 2007 was no exception. The Mitchell Cemetery has been growing and the name has spread beyond their little Pensacola, Florida plot. In September 2007 they were contacted by FearNet who was putting together a new internet/TV series called, "America's Scariest Haunted Houses" for fearnet.com. They wanted The Mitchell Cemetery to be one of 31 home haunts to be a part of it. Lynne and Shawn did their first ever film interview which can be viewed over on their Halloween website. Click website image or link at bottom of page to visit their website.

FearNet then contacted the Pensacola News Journal about their story and they came out and did another interview. The camera man was convinced The Mitchell Cemetery was indeed haunted, as his camera equipment seemed to move all on it's own.

The Mitchells don't intent to stop there... they have also been working on their first book. It will be along the lines of a How-to book for Halloween with their own artistic twist of course! Look for it sometime in 2008.
